Community
Azasou is founded on the principles of Social inclusion & Community Development, reflecting a strong commitment to social justice, cultural and community work.
We focus on strengthening communities by supporting individuals and families to grow their sense of belonging through exploring differences.
We use Open space Technology (OST) as a key process to engage groups of any size around topics and issues that are of significant interest to them. The process enables participants to self-organize, based on their passion and to take responsibility for leading the way to their preferred futures.
We also use aspects of Soft Systems Methodology and Appreciative enquiry to engage with groups, organizations & communities to facilitate complex challenges.
In Australia, Azasou works as consultants to existing community groups, Not-For-Profit Organizations & Government departments in areas related to
- Community Development & Capacity Building
- Community Consultations
- Community Service management & service model recommendations
- Community Service reviews & Evaluations
In Africa, Azasou is engaged with key communities & organizations such as SOS, in working towards reducing the margins of society within which majority of families & children and individuals live.
