Open Space Online

One of our key tools of engaging with groups and organizations is Open Space Technology (OST). OST is an effective, self-organizing process which enables groups of people of any size , from diverse backgrounds, experiences and differing values to address complex and possibly controversial topics towards achieving meaningful results. It reflects the principles of peace and non-violence.

People have used OST in widely diverse situations, from designing aircraft doors at a large aircraft-manufacturing company to engaging street kids in defining a sustainable jobs-program. It is now used in over 90 countries as an intentional leadership practice for engaging communities and organizations in change processes.

OST meetings have a single facilitator who initiates and concludes the meeting and explains the general method. The facilitator has no other role in the meeting and does not control the actual gathering in any way.
Given that Azasou is interested in connecting people from various parts of the world to share their stories, discuss issues and ideas towards nurturing diversity, we use Open Space Technology as one of the ways of facilitating such engagement. From time to time, we will also create an opportunity for online Open space forums.

Please feel free to register here if you would like to be kept involved about Azasou's Open Space Online conferences or to have access to Books of proceedings from the discussions.

We will also share stories about Open Space from across the world with you from time to time.
