Boabab Shade Project

Azasou's Baobab Shade project commenced in August 2006. The project involves us spending time listening to folk stories from the traditional owners of the stories and assisting in scripting the stories as part of preserving their heritage for their future descendants. A true reflection of Sankofa (looking back as a way of shaping the future.) The Baobab shade project, as the name suggests occurs in the traditional story telling settings as we experience the privilege of sharing vast tree shades with children, who sit in awe and captivation, attentively listening to tales that educate, shape their values and even generate humour and hope for tomorrow.
